Youth Mental Health First Aid for Parents

Youth Mental Health First Aid gives parents the confidence to recognise early signs of mental health difficulties in children and young people, and to respond with care, calm and understanding.
As parents, we are often the first to notice when something doesn’t feel right — but many of us worry about saying the wrong thing or making things worse. This training helps remove that fear.

I deliver Youth Mental Health First Aid as an FAA Ofqual-regulated qualification, creating a safe, non-judgemental learning space where parents feel able to ask honest questions.

As a mother, I understand the challenges, emotions and worries that come with parenting. I deliver this training with compassion, realism and integrity, helping parents feel more confident, not overwhelmed.

This course is about:
  • Noticing early signs
  • Having supportive conversations
  • Understanding boundaries
  • Knowing when and where to seek further support
Small conversations, held safely, can make a lasting difference.
“Really engaging training that held attention throughout and encouraged participation.”
Jimmy Phillips
